Youths at the Heart of Digital Change
Simply put, digital policies should reflect the needs of its users. And who better to empower towards shaping these policies other than the youths? Being the central force behind the usage of the internet, youths are the best at knowing the issues currently facing online communities.
Therefore, as key stakeholders, we believe that youths should be consulted in policy making, and equipped with the skills to devise sound policies themselves.
What's In It For You(th)?
Youths IRL is a 2-month fellowship aimed at empowering youths to be leaders in digital policies. Through our series of masterclasses and immersive learning week, we aim to sharpen digital literacy skills, online safety strategies and policy making principles – equipping them with skills and knowledge needed to guide a safer digital world.
Youths will get the opportunity to network with partner organisations, learn about their roles in online safety, all while forming their own voice to speak on digital policy.
